CSIR UGC NET Notification (June 2020):

NTA has released the exam dates of the UGC NET 2020. UGC net online application form 2020 was starting from 16 march & the last date of the has been extentended from 16th April to 16th May due to corona virus outburst. According to ugc net june notification, candidates can register for different post like Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship ( JRF ). This Test is conducted twice in a year. Last Year approx. 10.34 lakh candidates registered and  7.93 Lakh candidates Appeared for this exam to become a lecturer or researcher in their respective subject fields. The National Testing Agency ( NTA ) will conduct next exam from 15th -20th June 2020. The commission confirmed that those candidates who get selected, will get the annual pay of around 4.50 Lakhs and 11.75 Lakhs.

Candidates must check below details before UGC NET 2020 online application form registration:

  • The Registration process begin from 16th March 2020 (June session).

UGC NET 2020 Exam Dates

UGC NET June 2020 registration process is already  started from 16 march  and will continue till 16 May. The Exam will be scheduled on 15th -20th June 2020.The students can also refer to UGC NET Exam centers so that they can get know about the centers near by their city.

UGC NET Application Fee 2020

The application fee varies category-wise. Application fee once paid, is not refundable or transferable under any circumstances. Aspirants are free to use any paymanet mode by Debit/credit/Net banking or even by e-chalan. Fee details are as follows:
  • General-Rs.1000/-
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC)-(NCL)*: RS.500/-
  • SC/ST/PWD/ Transgender- Rs.250/-

UGC NET Eligibility

Candidates must apply after reading the eligibility criteria, Here are the broad pointers:
Candidates who are pursuing their master’s degree equivalent courses or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying master’s degree (Final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examination have been delayed can appear in the UGC National Eligibility Test Exam.
Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks  in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/ institutions recognized by University Grants Commission in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications,Electronic Science etc.are eligible for this Test.
For Reserved Category: The Other Backward Classes(OBC) belonging to non creamy layer/Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ persons with disability(PwD) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this test.

UGC NET Reservation policy

Government of india has applied the Reservation policy on NTA UGC exam.General-Economically Weaker Section has 10% reserved seats, and around 15% seats are for the Scheduled Caste(SC),The Scheduled tribes categoreis are having 7.5% and OBC are having around 27% reservation.

UGC NET 2020 Exam Age Criteria

For Junior Research Fellowship:

Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 30 years as on 1.06. 2020.
Relaxation: A relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to OBC (Noncreamy layer, as per the Central list of OBC available on the website: www.ncbc.nic.in) SC/ST/PWD/Transgender categories and to women applicants. Relaxation will also be provided to the candidates with research experience, limited to the period spent on research in the relevant/related subject of post-graduation degree, subject to a maximum of 5 years, on the production of a certificate from  appropriate authority. Three years relaxation in age will be permissible to the candidates with L.L.M. Degree.

For Assistant Professor:

Age Limit: No prescribed upper age limit for applying for eligibility for Assistant Professor.There is no age limit for applying for Assistant Professor.
