1.ENERVATE (verb)  कमज़ोर करना
  • Meaning: cause someone to feel drained of energy or vitality; weaken.
  • Synonyms: debilitate, devitalize, enfeeble, prostrate.
  • Antonyms: fortify, strengthen, energize, vitalize.
  • Usage: It was the evil stepmother's intention to enervate her stepdaughter by denying her food and water.


2. TELLTALE (adjective)  साफ दिखाई देने वाले
  • Meaning: revealing, indicating, or betraying something.
  • Synonyms: denotative, indicative, reflective, signifying.
  • Antonyms: cheeseparing, uninformative, unaired, secretive.
  • Usage: Her nasty tone was a telltale sign of her irritation, even though she didn’t say anything particularly mean.


3. SKIRMISH (noun) झड़प
  • Meaning: a brief clash between enemies or rivals.
  • Synonyms: conflict, quarrel, fray, hassle.
  • Antonyms: concord, agreement, harmony, truce.
  • Usage: Right before the game’s results were announced, the fans got into a skirmish over whose team was the greatest.


4. VANTAGE (noun)  सहूलियत
  • Meaning: a position giving a strategic advantage, commanding perspective, or comprehensive view.
  • Synonyms: advantage, edge, high ground, upper hand.
  • Antonyms: disadvantage, drawback, liability, penalty.
  • Usage: The observatory deck is a great vantage point for viewing Manhattan.


5. DILATORY (adjective)  धीमा
Meaning: slow to act
Synonyms: sluggish, slothful, lax, slack.
Antonyms: fast, prompt, brisk, quick.
Usage: They were dilatory in providing the researchers with information.

6. RECALCITRANT (adjective)   आज्ञा न माननेवाला
  • Meaning: having an obstinately uncooperative attitude towards authority or discipline.
  • Synonyms: indocile, insubordinate, defiant, wayward.
  • Antonyms: compliant, conformable, docile, tractable.
  • Usage: The manager worried that the recalcitrant employee would try to undermine his authority.


7. WARY (adjective)  सावधान
  • Meaning: feeling or showing caution about possible dangers or problems.
  • Synonyms: attentive, heedful, vigilant, observant.
  • Antonyms: careless, heedless, incautious, unguarded.
  • Usage: Dogs which have been mistreated often remain very wary of strangers.


8. CULL (verb)  चुनना
  • Meaning: select from a large quantity; obtain from a variety of sources.
  • Synonyms: elect, choose, select, handpick.
  • Antonyms: discard, reject, decline, spurn.
  • Usage: When we cull the contestants for the show, we choose individuals with outgoing personalities.


9. ARRANT (adjective)  अत्यन्त
  • Meaning: used to say how bad something is.
  • Synonyms: utter, absolute, complete, thorough.
  • Antonyms: dubious, questionable, restricted, uncertain.
  • Usage: Because of her arrant devotion to her family, she volunteered to go to the labor camp with them.

10. COUP (noun)  तख्तापलट
  • Meaning: an instance of successfully achieving something difficult.
  • Synonyms: accomplishment, achievement, attainment, triumph.
  • Antonyms: debacle, failure, downfall, fiasco.
  • Usage: Since our team is usually eliminated early in the competition, we considered it a major coup when we won the championship.
