Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released 238 Vacancies in various departments of Government of NCT of Delhi and also there is 14806 Teaching Vacancies.

 The registration will be started on 25/08/2017 and the last date for apply is 15/09/2017 (till 5:00 pm)

What is the educational qualification required for different posts in dsssb recruitment process?

1. Special Educator (Primary):

(i) Senior Secondary School Certificate (12th Class) or its equivalent from a recognized board institution.

(ii) Two year’s Diploma Programme in special education recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India in any Category of Disability or any other equivalent qualification approved by the RCI.

(iii) Pass in Central Teacher Eligibility Test Conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education.

2.Teacher (Primary):

(i) Senior Secondary (10+2) or Intermediate or its equivalent from a recognized board / institution.

(ii) Two year’s Diploma / Certificate Course / in Elementary Teacher education Course/ Junior Basic Training or equivalent or bachelor of elementary education from a recognized institution.

(iii) Must have passed Hindi as a subject at Secondary level.

(iv) Must have passed English as a subject at secondary or senior secondary level.

(v) Candidates must have qualified CTET.

3. Special Education Teacher:

(i). A. Graduate with B.Ed (Special Education) or B.Ed with a two years Diploma in Special Education or Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education OR Any other equivalent qualification approved by rehabilitation council of India.

(ii). Candidates must have qualified CTET.

4. Assistant Teacher (Nursery):

(i). Senior Secondary School (Class Twelve) certificate or Intermediate or its equivalent with atleast 45% marks from a  recognized Board/university.

(ii). Diploma/Certificate in Nursery Teacher Education programme of a duration of not less than two years or B.Ed. (Nursery) from a recognized institute.

(iii). Must have passed Hindi at Secondary Level.

5. Assistant Teacher (Primary):

(i). Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50% marks and 2-years Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known) from a recognized Board.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 45% marks and 2-years Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE recognition norms and procedure regulations-2002 .

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50% marks and 2-years Diploma in Education (special education) from a recognized Board.

OR

Graduation and 2-years Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known) from a recognized Board.

(ii). Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)

(iii). Must have passed Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi or English as a subject at Secondary Level.

6.Physical Education Teacher:

(i) Graduate with Bachelor’s of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or its equivalent.

7.Drawing Teacher

(i). Five years Diploma in Drawing/Painting/Sculpture/Graphic Art from a university/institute recognized by the Govt. of India.

OR

(ii). Master’s Degree in Drawing and Painting/Fine Art from a recognized university.

OR

(iii). Bachelor’s Degree in Drawing/Painting/Fine Art plus two years full time Diploma in Painting/Fine Art from a recognized university/institution.

Desirable:- Studied Hindi as a subject up to Secondary/Senior Secondary school

8.Domestic Science Teacher:

(i). Bachelor’s Degree in Domestic science/Home Science from a recognized university/institute.

(ii). Bachelor’s in Education with Domestic Science/Home Science as a teaching subject.

Desirable:- 1. Must have passed Hindi as a subject at Secondary Level.

9.Trained Graduate Teacher:

(i). “A Bachelor’s Degree (Honours/Pass) or equivalent from a recognized University having secured 45% marks in aggregate, in two school subjects of which at least one out of the following should have been at the elective level:-

A. English

B. Mathematics

C. Natural / Physical Science

D. Social Science

Note :- Main subjects for (i) TGT (Natural Science/ Phy. Science) shall be Physics, Chemistry Biology, Botany and Zoology (ii) Social Science :- History / Political Science/ Economics / Business Studies / Sociology / Geography/ Psychology.

10.Post Graduate Teacher:

(i) Master’s Degree (Or its equivalent oriental Degree in the case of PGT Sanskrit/Hindi) in the subject concerned from any recognized University.

(ii) Degree / Diploma in training /Education.

What are the Age Limit for DSSSB Teacher:
  • Maximum Age Limit for PRT Teacher: 30 years
  • Maximum Age Limit for TGT Teacher: 32 years
  • Maximum Age Limit for PGT Teacher: 36 years

For TGT Posts: Women Candidates & Departmental employees of Delhi Administration:-Relaxable upto 40 years.

Note: For Guest/Contract teachers age relaxation in upper age as a onetime measure upto the actual time spent as guest/contract teacher in Dte. Of Education, subject to a maximum of 5 years provided they have worked for atleast 120 working days in that particular year (this would be applicable to those guest/contract teachers who have worked for the academic years 2012-13, 2013-14,2014-15, 2015-16 & 2016-17).

When will be the exam conducted?

Will the exam be conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?

The exam will be conducted in Offline mode.

What is the application Fee?

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/-

Note: Women candidates and candidates belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Physically Handicapped & Ex-serviceman category are exempted from paying Application fee.

☛ Is the exam Bilingual?

The Examination questions will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the Language papers which would be in the language concerned only.

☛ Is there a sectional cut-off in the exam?

Yes, there is a sectional cut-off in the exam. You have to clear both section A & B separately

Is there a criterion for negative marking?

There is negative marking of 0.25 mark for every wrong answer.

☛ What is the Final Selection / Merit :

The Board may shortlist the candidates for written examination on the basis of marks in qualifying exam (as per essential qualification given in RRs) in case there are a large number of candidates.
